DO YOUR OWN WORK AND DO NOT COPY SOMEONE’S ANSWER FROM CHEGGPLEASE!

I WILL RATE!

This is an individual assignment and will give us the ability toassess your ability to communicate a design. We are interested tosee how you plan a design process while considering ethical, publichealth, environmental, and economic issues. Use your experiencefrom last semester’s planning to inform what makes aneffective/ineffective design plan.

Ventilators are used when people are critically ill with theCovid-19 virus and are unable to breathe on their own. Ventilatorshave been in short supply with surges in the infectionrates.   In response to these critical shortages, manypeople and organizations (universities, etc..) have developed andproposed simpler and lower cost ventilator designs. There are manyarticles describing these efforts.

Write a short proposal (plan) for your unique ventilator design. Inyour proposal include 6 sections:

  1. Scope and Requirements – Define the ventilatorrequirements/scope.
  2. Design Process – Describe how you would utilize a designmatrix/Pugh chart to finalize a design and describe one of yourdesigns.
  3. Performance Test Plan – Explain how your design(s) will betested. Explain using a design of experiments. And clearly statewhat your performance metrics are.
  4. Environmental/Economic Impact – Describe the impact of yourdesign from both an environmental and economic stand point.(Positive/Negative)
  5. Ethical Considerations – Include ethical questions thisproposal will address.
  6. Public Health Design Considerations – Finally explain howthe design process may be different than your Senior Design projectbecause it is in the context of a public health pandemic.

Ventilators are used when people are critically ill with the Covid-19 virus and are unable to breathe on their own. Ventilators have been in short supply with surges in the infection rates. In response to these critical shortages, many people and organizations (universities, etc..) have developed and proposed simpler and lower cost ventilator designs. There are many articles describing these efforts. Write a short proposal (plan) for your unique ventilator design. In your proposal include 6 sections: 1. Scope and Requirements – Define the ventilator requirements/scope. 2. Design Process – Describe how you would utilize a design matrix/Pugh chart to finalize a design and describe one of your designs. 3. Performance Test Plan – Explain how your design(s) will be tested. Explain using a design of experiments. And clearly state what your performance metrics are. 4. Environmental/Economic Impact – Describe the impact of your design from both an environmental and economic stand point. (Positive/Negative) 5. Ethical Considerations – Include ethical questions this proposal will address. 6. Public Health Design Considerations – Finally explain how the design process may be different than your Senior Design project because it is in the context of a public health pandemic.
