From the Fig. in problem 2, estimate the equation of metabolic
rate as a function of body mass for placental mammals in the form
of Metabolic rate = a Mass b, with metabolic rate (Watts) and Body
mass in kg. The b parameter is the slope of the line and the a is
the intercept after correcting for the log transformation and the
units change. These conversions can be a bit tricky. You can check
your work by checking the values you get at a body mass of 1
kg.
