Please reflect on the connection between the Covid pandemic andthe social determinants of health, as addressed in discussion forthis week. You could consider ways in which the social determinantsof health render people from a chosen community or demographicgroup more vulnerable to either contracting Covid or sufferingsevere complications. Alternately, you could address ways in whichthe closures, restrictions, or expenses of the Covid pandemic havehad a disproportionately more negative impact on members of somegroups more than others.
Please narrow your consideration to one specific group and thinkspecifically about those impacts or constraints, then write a 1/2-1page statement proposing one top-down and one bottom-up solutionfor addressing the problem. Note which approach (top-down orbottom-up) you would consider to be (a) more impactful and (b) morefeasible–whether that’s the same approach for both (a) and (b) ordifferent.
