An RDN works in an outpatient care center. The client has afamily history of diabetes and heart disease. He has been diagnosedwith Type 2 diabetes which is under control with one oralmedication, diet and exercise. In addition he is on a low dosemedication for hypertension. He discloses he is pursuingcomplementary and alternative therapies and is seeking the RDN’sopinion on several supplements and therapies he is already taking.He would like information on some therapies he is thinking ofusing. The RDN is not familiar with these supplements or therapiesand dismissed the comments.
