“The patient was apparently alright 3 hours prior to admissionin the hospital. She suddenly developed irregular contractions 3hours before the time of admission. There was no complaint of anyvaginal discharge however, some mucous discharge was seen 2 hoursprior to admission. She claimed that she had felt good fetalmovements. The patient was having neither fever nor cough or cold.Few minutes prior to admission, she was having frequent uterinecontractions, every 5 minutes and lasting for 20-30 seconds.Vaginal spotting was also seen. She was also having hypogastricpain. The persistence of the problem led to her admission.”
