(i.e., yield>1mg at 95%purity).

lysozyme exhibite activity against peptidoglycan layer of
bacterial cell walls, catalyzing hydrolysis of (1to 4)-beta-linkage
between N-acetylemuramic acid and N-acetyl-D-glucosamine residues
in peptidoglycan and between N-acetyl-Dglucosamine residues in
chitodextrins . The enzyme contains multiple cysteine disulfide
bonds, in inhibited by imidazole and denaturing surfactants
(i.e.,SDS), and is not known to exhibit quaternary structure.
