Topic: Pathophysiology of Asthma
About a 55 year old, married woman who fills in as a civil clerkof the Trial Court. She has numerous symptoms and signs. She getstired easily and has shortness of breath after walking only a briefdistance. She drinks water a lot as she is often thirsty andurinates too often. She also eats more frequently than she usuallydoes.
She has a sedentary lifestyle, in addition, her diet isn’treally healthy. She adores eating deep-fried food and has asweet-tooth. Also, she is known to be asthmatic for almost all ofher life. She went to see two doctors; a cardiologist who presumesher to be experiencing atherosclerosis or even CAD. While theendocrinologist, who figures that she may as of now have DM Type 2.So she is asked to have a laboratory tests done which includes,lipid profile, 2D-Echo, ECG, HbA1C and FBS.
