Ch. 26 Collecting Specimens A midstream specimen is ordered. You give the patient the specimen cup and pack of towelettes and ask: “Do you know what to do?” The patient says: ;”Yes, I’ve done this before,” You tell the patient to leave the specimen in the bathroom and signal for you when done. : You return and notice the towelettes are unopened. What do you do? Should you send the specimen to the laboratory? How could this have been prevented? Ebony Scott. Apr 6, 2020 (Edited Feb 19)
