@ Chapter 26: Collecting Specimens Scenarios in Practice You are assisting a patient obtain a clean-voided urine specimen. The patient accidentally puts tissue in the collection container. What do you do? You are assisting with a 24-hour urine collection on a patient assigned to your care. The patient is in the dining room and chooses not to return to his room to collect the specimen; instead he voids in the nearest bathroom. Is it okay to just collect one extra sample and continue the collection? Ebony Scott – Apr 5, 2020 (Edited Feb 19)
