Each of these stakeholders hold an important strengththat is required for a successful EBP implementation. A physicianis important in this implementation because their leadership, skills and knowledge as an internal stakeholder are important indetermining if an EBP implementation is successful. A patient isimportant as an external stakeholder because they are able to helpdetermine the strengths and weaknesses of an EBP implementation, since they provide a provision of required resources. A nurse is animportant part of determining the success of EBP implementationbecause they are the main person communicating and demonstratingthe new changes to the patients; they are also the main persontranslating the evidence into practice. The health careadministrator provides leadership and framework that helps to adoptthe change; their support is crucial to ensure success (Horev &Babad, 2005). The CEO is an important stakeholder because theirsupport and leadership helps to influence the perception of thechange within the community and society. It is important tofacilitate interactive engagements, to have a successfulevidence-based practice change within a facility.

I believe that many health care practitioners areoften unwilling to change practice patterns because of theircomfortability in providing care and the simple fact thatincorporating new practices can be daunting and seem impossible. Apractice change can be a large disruption to the status quoequilibrium of a practice and incorporating a new equilibriumchange is a large part of the problem, which contains, unlearningold evidence and tensions that lie between evidence and context(Gupta, Boland, & Aron, 2017). Due to these changing times andthe current shift in medical practices, which means moving awayfrom traditional patient care roles, it leaves a large number ofphysicians choosing to cut back their hours and seek non-clinicalroles. Many physicians do not regularly practice EBP, which isEvidence Based Practice, because these barriers make for a heavierworkload, lack of training, and also a lack of support from theorganization (Hisham, Ng, Liew, Hamzah, & Ho, 2016). If I wasin charge of implementing a major change to regulate evidence-basedpractice models, I would ensure that my doctors feel supported andeducated, along with providing them the needed time, accessibleevidence, and incentives, to succeed in the implementationprocess.
