Muscle Fatigue Lab with Report Part 1: Muscle fatigue will be observed under different conditions. You can develop your own methods to conduct a musce fatigue experiment or use the following suggested procedure. The subject will be extending an arm until it is fatigued while holding objects of different weights. Rest period lengths will differ between two sets of trials. Develop questions that will be the bases for hypotheses regarding muscle fatigue after reading Parts 2 and 3. Then, research muscle fatigue to write your introduction, determine exactly how you will perform the experiment, and then collect data to analyze. A full lab report should be written as a scientific research paper to be tumed in by the scheduled due date. Part 2 1. You will act as a subject, a timer, and a recorder. 2. Obtain two objects with different weights. Weigh each object separately, or choose objects with known weights, and then record the weights of each. 3. Note weights, times, and visual observations of the test subject nating any changes that occur during the procedure such as body position 4. Extend the non-dominate upper limb straight out in front of yourself, holding the position until the arm shakes or the muscles begin to ache. Record the time to fatigue. 5. Repeat the procedure holding the lightest object in the hand of the arm that is extended. Record the time of fatigue. 6. Repeat the procedure with the heaviest object in the hand of the arm that is extended. Record the time of fatigue. Part 3: 1. Using the same technique, extend their non-dominate upper limb with an empty hand. Record the time of fatigue 2. Rest for 10 seconds, then repeat the procedure with the lightest object. Record the time of fatigue 3. Rest for 10 seconds, then repeat the procedure with the heaviest object. Record the time of fatigue
