Please answer this question below
One in four births worldwide occurs without the assistance of a’skilled birth attendant’. In many cases the child is born and s/heand the mother are healthy. Unfortunately, this is not always thecase. 2015 data show that 300,000 women died in childbirth (or upto six weeks after). These are preventable deaths and theypredominantly occur in developing countries. If a woman chooses todeliver her baby at home and without a skilled attendant, due tocultural practices, financial constraints or long distances to thehospital, should she be allowed to? Should the governments indeveloping countries mandate that all babies must be born under thesupervision of a skilled birth attendant? And if they were to doso, how would they encourage this and enforce it? (think financial, transportation to the hospital, etc).
