The table shows the data calculated forblood pressure at rest, exercise, and after recovery.
And according to the data we suppose to answer these questions,I’ve already answered them but I want to ensure that I’m ontrack.
Note that the device used to measure the blood pressure isOmron.
1- What effect did exercise have on theseparameters? What are the similarities and differencesbetween the measurements taken “at rest” and after recovery? Whatmight cause these similarities and differences?
2- Although the students were to exercise and then make threesuccessive measurements of their heart rate and blood pressure, some students ended up exercising and measuring their heart rateand BP immediately and after a 5 minute recovery period, threetimes. That is, rather than exercise and measure three times, wait5 minutes and measure three times, they instead exercised andmeasured once, waited 5 minutes and measure once, but did thisthree times and then averaged these results. How might the resultsof this sequence vary compared to results taken according to theexpected sequence? What would be some reasons for the variation, inany?
3- What is the underlying physics that you used to perform theactivity in this lab, and how does it help you to understand betterthe related physiological processes?
