A 35-year-old male presents to his general practitioner withdarkening of his urine, facial oedema and feeling unwell. Hedescribes an upper respiratory tract infection one week earlier. Hedescribes also a history of blood staining of his urine on a fewepisodes in the past, sometimes associated with upper respiratorytract infections. He has no family history of kidney disease. Onexamination he is hypertensive and microscopic haematuria isconfirmed. No other abnormalities are identified.
